Going through my hard drives for the first time in years.

I’ve started to realize that there is so much from the 90s and early 00s (post-broadband and cheap burnable CDs, pre-cheap 100+ GB hard drives) that they seem wrong without an at least noticeable amount of compression of the video.

In the “true” versions the images can be so clean that they seem to lose something.

Excessive video compression as the next film scratches/TV static.

Times where you’re not sure if part 6 of 10 is
-really part 6 and the makers are doing something to mess with the audiences perception of events through sudden repetition with small variance
-part 5 that some one mislabeled
-part 6 from a different ripper who used different break points

A (debatably) passive aggressive email from co-worker over coding style at 2 am

Because if we use ANY bracket-less ‘if’s EVER for ANY REASON (ignoring current readability and the fact that added brackets in the future will be trivially easy when readability actually becomes an issue) then someone might eventually follow that with single line ‘else’s and then someone else might not realize that you need brackets if you want to do more than one line despite the evidence being all over the place and then there will be a bug that will probably be really easy to notice and fix!

Also something about brackets in javascript even though I haven’t touched any javascript since probably October.

Or it could just be petty revenge for not restructuring the database for no reason other than his personal preference a week before relaunch.
